In an exciting development for the arts education sector, an Australian-accredited certification programme has been launched by The Ballet School of Colombo(TBSC), offering aspiring performers the opportunity to earn a teacher's diploma.

This programme is designed to cater to those seeking to enhance their qualifications for international opportunities. In a recent interview, the Directors of The Ballet School of Colombo shared their vision for the initiative. "Our certification programme is not just about gaining a diploma; it's about equipping performers with the skills and qualifications they need to succeed globally. We're proud to offer a comprehensive pathway that can open doors to qualify for teaching and performing abroad.

The programme's inaugural batch, which recently completed its exams, showcases a diverse group of individuals skilled in singing, dancing, and acting. Known as the "triple threat," these students exemplify the programme's commitment to nurturing well-rounded performers who can Dance, Sing and Act. Currently, the programme is exclusive to boys, with plans to expand its offerings in the near future. "We wanted to start by addressing a specific need in the arts community," Tara and Romina explained. "Our goal is to eventually provide these exceptional training opportunities to all aspiring performers, regardless of gender."
