Good to see some progress. Without a change to the current backward mentality to human rights, both to ethnic and sexual minorities, Still Lanka will remain poor, undeveloped, and unsafe.
Abomination is playing the double game until the death, don't you have any idea about suffering of men and woman on rest of their whole lives after getting marry just because of social pressure on them to getting marry at any cost. Then the Buddhist country card, please don't insult the greatest philosopher of all time who taught tolerance/respect to every living organism over and over again.

Great to see Sri Lanka, moving in a progressive direction. Still need to abolish backward thinking of a majority of individuals whom still saying "it will corrupt the younger generation." We need to TEACH the younger generation accept human beings as they are, not spew hate playing the religion card.
Raju and Nimal - You guys want to make Sri Lanka like the other backward south asian countries? The reason our country has a higher human development index is because our culture is less backward than the other south asian cultures, but we still have a long way to go. Nimal, if you are a true follower of buddha's teaching then you should be more accepting of all people. Buddha wanted to find the truth about the universe and he did that while showing love and compassion to all people. If you call
