The country’s only youth channel YFM which is celebrating its seventh anniversary on Saturday December 1, displaying heaps of maturity within a short time span. YFM radio Channel Head Thanuja Jayawardana told Impulse that just like every year, they were coming up with new surprises this year too with a wide variety.

“This year too were embarking on a new year with huge plans, huge trust and confidence largely due to the feedback of our loyal listeners who have always been with us right throughout. I am proud to say that we have become the number one youth channel in the country not only because we cater to all those who love entertainment in Sinhala, Tamil, English or Hindi but also because we have dedicated ourselves to earn this position. YFM, has the largest facebook fan page for a radio station in Sri Lanka, with more than 150,000 fans ,” said Thanuja.

This year’s campaign is  "Y REPUBLIC EKATA SET WENNA " .

Asanga Karunarathna who is YFM’s weekend manager for the weekend line up promises YFM weekends will have listeners tuned in from sunrise to sunset.
