'Wandering with Pleasure...' Fraternal forum on Oct. 18

Sri Lanka’s foremost travelogue narrator, Saman Athaudahetti’s second travel narrative titled, 'Sonduru Serisara Seda Mawatha Dige' (Wandering with Pleasure Along the Silk Route) which brings historical and cultural episodes from China in their extravagant flavour to the Sri Lankan reader, will have a Fraternal Forum at the Committee Room A of the BMICH on October18 from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
 
This travel narrative, “Wandering with Pleasure along the Silk Route” is his second published travelogue, the first being “Wandering with Pleasure along the Hanamichi” that brought to the Sri Lankan reader an excellent collection of personalised narratives about Japan. It thus earned an award at the 2011 Sri Jayawardnepura Vidyodaya Literary Festival.
 
This second narrative on China is a Fast Publishing (Pvt) Ltd publication by Prem Dissanayake.
 
The Fraternal Forum on “Wandering with Pleasure along the Silk Route” will be graced by Ambassador to the Republic of China, Wu Jianghao as the Chief Guest and will have Most Rev. Dr. Ittepane Dhammalankara Anunayake Thera, Dr. Hao  Wemin of the Social Sciences and Languages Dept of the University of Sabaragamuwa, Professor Sarath Wijesuriya of University Colombo, veteran publicist and advertising specialist Erwin Weerakkody along with popular songstress Nanda Malini engaging in a prose exchange.
 
This evening is being organised, assisted by the Sri Lanka – China Journalists Forum with an open invitation for all and the book “Along the Silk Route......” will be sold at the venue, at a concessionary price for the Sri Lankan reader.
