Sugath Samarakoon's maiden cinematic venture 'Vijaya-Kuweni' which will mark its 50^th day today (June 25), grossed more than 65 million rupees upto June 24 with more than 500,000 patronising the movie screened in the CEL circuit.

The movie produced by Gayan Ranadheera features Roger Seneviratne and Dulani Anuradha in the lead roles together with a talented star cast including Cletus Mendis, Wasanthi Ranwala, Buddhadasa Vithanachchi, Sarath Dikkumbura, Sandun Wijesiri, Tilak Kumara Rathnayake, Stanley Krishnaratne, Rupun Ranadheera, Amandi Priyanjana  and Minister Mervyn Silva.

A special felicitation ceremony is scheduled to be held at the NFC Hall today at 4 pm to appreciate the stakeholders who had contributed to the success of the film.
