A special commemorative event titled ‘Mudu Hadawathaka Thathu’ was held at the Battaramulla Janakala Kendraya recently to commemorate the second death anniversary of award-winning singer Narada Dissasekara.The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Carlo Fonseka.

Visharada Nanda Malini, Rohana Weerasinghe, Dayaratne Ranatunga, Amara Ranatunga, T. M. Jayaratne, Bandula Wijeweera, Janaka Wickremasinghe, Ronnie Leitch, Deepashika Ranatunga and Ranjan Saliya featured in a musical tribute show held during the event. The Army Oriental Band led by Capt. Jayaratne provided the music while the event was organised by a committee headed by Neela Dissasekara.

The event also coincided with the launch of a book on Narada titled ‘Mudu Hadawthaka Thathu’ edited by Inoka Perera Bandara.
