Have a plan: If you want real results, then get serious about your goal and start by planning things out. Develop a workout plan and keep track of your progress with a workout journal for the next few weeks.

Get some Sleep: You can’t burn the candle at both ends and seriously expect to get great abs. In order to get the most out of your workouts you need to be well-rested and fully-charged to give it your all. Sleeping just 5-6  hours every night will not cut it. You need to get at least 8 hours of shut eye. This rest will give you the drive and energy to power through your workouts.

Eat right: You will never see those abs if you eat everything in your sight. You may become physically stronger, but your abs will remain hidden. Try to avoid eating junk food, consult a nutritionist and plan your meals to include 1g of protein and 1-2g of carbs for every pound of body weight each day. Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day and control your portion sizes.

Drink Water: A demanding training routine and meal plan coupled with this heat can make dehydration a definite possibility. You are not a camel and your body cannot store water. Drinking 6-8 glasses of water throughout the day will go a long way to keeping you hydrated and enhancing your performance.

Work your Abs: You must hit your abs 3-4 times a week with some direct ab work. The simple workout below has been proven to give great results.

 

Hanging leg raises: 4 x max reps
Reverse crunches: 4 x 15-20 reps
Pulley machine crunches: 4 x 15-20 reps
