The Ananda College Old Boys of the 81 batch will present a unique musical show on July 28 at 6 pm at the school’s Kularatne Hall to raise funds for a Digital English Language Lab for the benefit of the students of Ananda College.
The three-hour musical extravaganza will feature a galaxy of popular stars such as Victor Rathnayake, Sanath Nandasiri, T M Jayaratne, Sunil Edirisinghe, Rohana Siriwardene, Amarasiri Peiris and Deepika Priyadharshani who will sing songs penned by distinguished old Anandians including Dalton Alwis, Premakeerthi de Alwis, Bandara K. Wijethunga, Kularathna Ariyawansa, Prof. Praneeth Abhayasundara and Dammika Bandara.
Rohana Weerasinghe will be in charge of the music orchestration while Bandula Nanayakkarawasam has penned the script.
The organizers told Impulse that this was a unique event held to felicitate old Anandians who have brought fame and honour to their Alma mater. This is the first time in Sri Lanka that a collection of songs written by eminent Anandians will be performed on one stage.
Tickets available at the OBA office, Sarasavi Bookshop, Sadeepa Bookshop, Salaka Senkada and at the gates on the day of the show.
