Award-winning filmmaker Prasanna Vithanage’s seventh feature film “Oba Nathuwa Oba Ekka” has just completed shooting in Bogawanthatawa and the Sarasavi Studio recently. 

 

 

The film is set in post war Sri Lanka. It is based on Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s novella “A Gentle Creature”. 

 

 

 

The cast includes veteran stage actor Shyam Fernando, Indian actress Anjali Patil. Maheshwarie Ratnam and Wasantha Moragoda. Post production is currently taking place in Chennai, India with film editor A. Sreekar Prasad and sound designer Tapas Nayak. 

 

“Oba Nathuwa Oba Ekka” is a co-production between India and Sri Lanka.
