Chamara Peiris' latest tele serial 'Piyavi' featuring a talented a star cast is now being telecast on Swarnavahini at 9 pm every Sunday.

The 50-episode tele serial produced by Winyl Gems, features Dinakshi Priyasad, Eranga Jeewantha, Umayangana Wickremasinghe, Ureni Noshika, Kavinga Perera, Renuka Balasuriya, Kamal Deshapriya, Rebecca Nirmalee, Kusum Perera, Chinthaka Vaas, Ferni Roshini and others.

Piyavi centres on the fresh and energetic campus lives of two aspiring youngsters.  Vishal (Eranga) and Tharusha (Dinakshi) are batch-mates who are deeply in love with each other. But will family traditions and cultural backgrounds hinder their innocent love.

After a stint in the print media, Chamara shot to fame with his maiden tele drama Ayal which won several awards at the Raigam Tele'es and Sumathi Tele  awards ceremonies.
