Two Sri Lankan children - Sharanya Jayakody and Stephen Ferdinands - will participate as jury members in the Iran International Children’s Film Festival starting this week.The festival will be held in Teheran from October 4 to 15.

Sharanya, the daughter of Visharada Edward Jayakody and Visharada Charitha Priyadarshani Peiris, has acted in films and tele dramas including Siri Raja Siri, Hiripoda Wessa, Suriya Daruwo, Isuru Sangramaya and others.

Stephen, an ardent film enthusiast studies at Lyceum International School.

Child artistes Nithyawani Kandasamy, Pramudi Karunaratne, Sarala Kariyawasam, Tharaka Hettiarachchi, Shehan Randeniya and Sandali Welikanna have participated before as jury members in this international children’s film festival.
