Actor Sam Worthington, best know for his role in the blockbuster film, "Avatar," is hoping to take his career to new heights with his latest movie, "Man on a Ledge," which premiered in Los Angeles.

 

Worthington joined castmates Elizabeth Banks, Ed Burns and Ed Harris on the red carpet for the screening which took place at the legendary Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

 

The actor, whose other screen credits besides "Avatar," includes "Clash of the Titans" and "Terminator Salvation," believes that his latest role is one his fans should like.

 

In the film, Worthington plays ex-cop Nick Cassidy, who stands on the ledge of a New York City hotel after an impossible escape from prison. Is Nick a desperate man or does he have a hidden agenda? As fellow NYPD officer Lydia Mercer, played by Elizabeth banks, tries to talk Nick off the ledge, she discovers that Nick may have a plan in the works to prove his innocence and dig up one of the force's biggest conspiracies.
