An all encompassing book covering the 50 year film career of globally renowned filmmaker Sumitra Peries will be launched in Colombo on Wednesday. The coffee table book penned by Ajith Galapaththy has been conceptualized and sponsored by Sangeetha Weeraratne and Shereen Kumaratunga.

The launch will also coincide with the issuance of a new postage stamp and first day cover in recognition of Ms. Peries’ contribution to the Lankan film industry.

The 276-page book published by Fast Ads will also be launched at the BMICH Colombo International Book Fair on September 20.
