Prof. Ariyaratne Athugala last week started work on his newest theatrical production titled ‘Maha Samayama’ at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Performing Arts Theatre.

The play due to go on the boards in the coming months, will feature Jackson Anthony, Jayalath Manoratne, Sriyantha Mendis, Vijaya Nandasiri, Nissanaka Diddeniya, Indika Upamali, Senanayake Weraliyadda, Sanath Wimalasiri, Madani Malwatte, Chathurika Peiris and the cultural troupe members of the Army, Navy and Air Force.

 

Maha Samayama will be directed and scripted by Prof. Ariyaratne Athugala, choreographed by Channa Wijewardena  and Darshana Pyarathne while Ravibandu Vidyapathi will also handle the choreography in addition to costumes designing.

 

 

Prof. Kolitha Banu Dissanayake will direct the music, Buddhadasa Galapaththy will handle the make up while Prof. Ramyawardena Podinilame will be in charge of the sets, costumes, jewellery and creation of masks.
