Staying fit and going to the gym are her hobbies. Easygoing and friendly, Tashi’s pet peeves are pollution and oppressive heat!
Why do you love travel?
To gain new experiences, experience new food, meet different people and to learn from them. I like to travel to countries that are multicultural and to experience and see places that I have seen in the movies.
Your favourite travel destination and why?
USA. There is so much to see and do there. Each state is completely different from the other and it is like you get to visit multiple countries even though you are still in the USA.
What do you need for a perfect holiday?
Good company and perfect weather.
In which country have you felt most at home?
Australia.
Most unusual souvenir you have brought home?
A vertebra of a sealion from Pebble Beach, California.
Worst holiday or travel experience?
Traveling to New Delhi was an eye opener, to see how some Indians just squat and do their ablutions in the middle of the street.
Best piece of travel advice?
Travelling alone will give you the chance to really test yourself because you will have to face critical situations on your own, so being calm and collected is really important. So if you get a chance to travel on your own while you are young go for it! And try to avoid tours because you don't get to spend enough time to appreciate the places you see and the places of your interests.
Your top five travel destinations?
United States of America, Germany, Australia, France and Malaysia.
What has travel taught you?
It has taught me to be fearless and independent and really matured me with every travel experience.
Which country did you taste the best ever cuisine?
Peking duck in Beijing, it was unexpectedly one of the best meals of my life, my sister would agree.
Next travel destination?
Greece and Maldives.
