Serenity by Mims an online store selling semi-precious crystal jewellery was launched in Sri Lanka recently.  It was something that started as a hobby for it owner Neelika Rambukwella and she decided to showcase her products in her motherland after many stalls at fairs in Dubai. We spoke to her about her venture. 

• When and where did Serenity by Mims start and what is the main reason for having an online store of this nature?  I started it as a hobby way back in 2018, and all my friends encouraged me to do it as an online project. 

• How successful has it been?  It’s been very successful. I’ve done many stalls at various fairs in Dubai.

• What is the reason for commencing operations in Sri Lanka? I thought it would be nice to showcase my products in my motherland.

• Describe the online store in Sri Lanka. My products will be available through my website serenitybymims.com 

• Is there a particular clientele you are catering to and if so what is it?  My crystal jewellery can be worn by anyone who is interested in crystals.

• What are the different types of stones you will have in the store? A variety ranging from Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Tigers Eye, Watermelon Tourmaline, Jade, and Lapis Lazuli to name a few of which are commonly known.

• What are the main types of jewellery items at the store? Mainly crystal bracelets - intention bracelets, aromatherapy bracelets, pendants, earrings and rings.

• What are some of the uses and benefits of crystal stones? There are many benefits and uses for crystals. They are used in healing, energy, protection, stability, and much more.

 
• What are such stones good for? Crystals like Amethyst and Rose Quartz are believed to support emotional healing and promote inner peace.

Clear Quartz is known as a master amplifier, enhancing the energy and intentions set by the user.
Black Tourmaline and Obsidian are thought to protect against negativity and harmful energies.
Hematite and Smoky Quartz help connect to the earth, promoting a sense of stability and focus.
Citrine and Pyrite are associated with attracting abundance, success, and positivity
Selenite and Labradorite enhance spiritual growth, intuition, and connection to higher energies.
