With his reliable tongue-in-cheek genre of comedy, Dharmasena continues to amuse fans of his work, and theatregoers can look forward to plenty of rib tickling laughs this May thanks to his latest, Ray Cooney’s "It Runs In The Family".
The comedy revolves around pretentious neurologist Dr. Mortimore who's about to present a career-making speech at an important medical conference. His perfect plans are at risk as events unfold with the subsequent visit of his former nurse and lover, after 18 years and 9 months. She drops the bomb about a son begot of their liaison who’s actually in the hospital at that very moment, desperately looking for his father. What follows is a web of lies and deceit as Dr. Mortimore desperately tries to save his marriage and his career.
Indu Dharmasena plays Dr. David Mortimore and is joined by Rehan Amaratunga (Dr. Mike Connally), Sanwada Dharmasena (Rosemary Mortimore), Abbasali Rozais (Dr. Hubert Bonny), Amaya Wijesinghe (Matron), Jaliya Wijewardena (Sir Willoughby Drake), Sulo Perera (Jane Tate), Manthika Wijewardena (Sister), Anuk Dharmasena (Leslie), George Cooke (Police Sergeant Connally), Kavinda Gunasekara (Bill), and Sam Jayasinghe (Mother).
