zMessenger Unveils STARFRIENDS Nature Enchantments Celebrity Photo Artistry
Celebrity loyalty card and a dynamic new website also launched
STARFRIENDS®, Sri Lanka’s official digital celebrity portal connecting across mobile, web and social media, unveiled a nature inspired celebrity photo collection on 21st December 2015 at Park Street Mews. This unique photo artistry features leading celebrity artists of Sri Lanka. The Starfriends service provides fans access to their favourite stars along with entertainment services such as news, stories, songs, wallpapers, images and videos of celebrities. zMessenger, an award-winning mobile marketing company, with a presence across all sectors of the mobile space, is the force behind STARFRIENDS® and the exclusive nature inspired calendar for 2016. While the highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of a stunning nature-inspired celebrity calendar for 2016, a celebrity loyalty card and a dynamic new website were also revealed to the audience. The event was underscored by the announcement that the STARFRIENDS® Facebook page recorded a base of 100,000 fans.
The event was attended by company officials and glamorous celebrities. The welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Jayomi Lokuliyana, Co-founder/Chief Executive Officer of zMessenger, while Mr. Sashean de Mel - Head of Premium Services, introduced the Celebrity Loyalty Card. The evening was marked by superlative entertainment acts. Raini Gunathilaka performed a song as one of the first main acts at the event. The highlights were segments performed by Natasha Ratnayake and Jayasri on her latest song, ‘Shake That’. A rib-tickling comedy act by Podi Malli and Chuti Malli followed.
Apart from these stellar acts, stars such as Roshan Ranawana, Natasha Ratnayake, Muthu Tharanga, Menaka Maduwanthi and Starfriends Producer Iresh Dharmadasa along with the photographer Meesha shared their experiences during the shoot for the attractive calendar. Celebrity compeer and radio jockey Danu spontaneously engaged stars in conversation to the delight of the spectators.

The STARFRIENDS® service was initially launched with Dialog and now it is live with all mobile operators in Sri Lanka, reaching out to the masses. Initially based on text, it was later augmented by incorporating features such as Images and videos in order to offer a better experience. Currently, the latest extension of STARFRIENDS® offers a state of the art service to subscribers that are reminiscent of other services currently popular across the globe.
