Android Games: Reviewed

Selecting games for Android is not necessarily an easy task because unlike Apple or iOS, the market for Android is highly fragmented. There are devices with various specs and form factors, and this generally means that whatever game you play on one device may not work so well on another. So I tested all these games on a Galaxy Core LTE, but I strongly suspect, you can play these games with devices that have slightly lower specs.

Dots

I picked this game almost randomly because it seemed so colourful and I couldn't supress the inner-child within me. Anyway, the task is equally childish. Players simply need to connect as many same-coloured dots as possible in the 60 seconds. Naturally, you can post your scores and taunt your friends/frenemies on Facebook and Twitter. There are also some cool modes available: Endless Mode and an un-timed, moves based mode. The latter is for those who really have nothing to do and would rather spend their Sunday afternoons creating the best strategies to connect dots.

Candy Crush

This is the game that has continues to annoy me. Designed to make even the most social people, annoying anti-social, it is basically Tetris with sweets.  Like other games, you can share your scores online and work yourself up the leader boards, and while the game is free, it might cost you what's left of your social life.

Temple Run 2

The one game I refused to uninstall because I got all the fourth of July artefacts. This is a procrastinator's worst nightmare. You start thinking you'll just waste time on a single run, but convince yourself that you need to go on because you just need one more fancy mask or you need to boost your skill level. It is easy to play but can be a bit laggy. The game should also be shunned for shamelessly  forcing players to watch previews of other games just to earn an extra life.
