How many times have you gone on vacay and ended up forgetting your phone charger? Or gasp, extra underwear? It happens to the best of us. Which is why, although we wouldn't call it groundbreaking, PackPoint is one of the most useful apps out there! 

How it works: 

Available on both android and iOS, PackPoint has a very  clean and straightforward user interface (UI), and we love how easy to use it is. 

Once you download the app, you are asked to choose your gender so that the app can offer up suggestions suited to your specific needs. You will also get to pick your travel location, date of travel, length of your stay and type of trip (business / leisure). This ensures that your list is further customized to include weather based suggestions. How great is that? 

The app also includes a list of activities you can pick and choose from, after which you can “Begin Packing”. And that's it. Easy as pie. 

Our customized packing list showed up categorized into essentials, running, beach, fancy dinner, toiletries, photography and swimming based on the activities we selected. We were pretty impressed how the app had also included things we never even thought of like a printed trip itinerary (we agree that spontaneity is awesome, but an itinerary doesn't hurt either) and an umbrella!!! The list might seem pretty extensive to be honest, but we'd rather have a large list than a limited one. Besides, you have the option of adding items to your list that the app many not include. We actually didn't have anything to add, the list was THAT extensive! 

In app purchases: 

You could easily do without the extra features that require in app purchases. These include the ability to customize packing templates, login to your TripIt account and sync your lists with Evernote. 

To get or not to get? 

Definitely get it!! This is one of those apps you will never regret. Even if you don't use it all the time, keep it in the reserves to download when ur about to go on vacay. You can thank us later.
