On 05^th May 2012 Earl’s Regency Celebrated Vesak in a grand scale, with full of lanterns all around. The approaching road across the bridge was also decorated by the hotel.

A ‘Drink Dansala’ was organized and approximately 10,000 people were served by the management team, who as a family gathered around to serve drinks to the people. Chairman Mr. Earl Gunasekara and his family took part in the celebrations.

Students from three schools in close proximity to the Hotel were invited for a “Bakthi gee” performance at the Hotel and many people were present for the occasion. The Pandol erected by the Hotel, was opened by the Chief Priest of Thannakubura Temple at 7.00pm followed by Pirith

The Thannekumbura Brigge and the Clock tower were decorated with white & orange Vesak lanterns.
