New venue for Saturday Good Market!

From the 4th of July onwards, the Saturday Good Market will relocate across the street from Colombo Racecourse to its new venue at Rajakeeya Mawatha. The opening will be graced by President Maithripala Sirisena and Mayor of Colombo, A.J.M. Muzammil.

Having been on the lookout for a new weekend venue with ample shade, easy access and plenty of space for all the vendors, the Good Market finalised its new home with support from the Colombo Municipal Council, the Police, and Royal College. The new venue is able to accommodate new stalls, environmental programs, activities for kids, as well as special events.

Started by volunteers, the Good Market is a curated event that sees vendors go through an application and review process that ensures a high standard in produce that are “good for the planet, good for the country, and good for you.” The Saturday Good Market now has more than 50 vendors with certified organic produce, natural food and snacks, eco-friendly home and garden products, handmade crafts, and more.

The Saturday Good Market hours will remain the same: 10am to 6pm. The Good Market organic and natural food shop is open daily from 8am to 8pm inside the Lakpahana grounds at 14, Philip Gunawardena Mawatha (Reid Avenue), Colombo 07.
