Pizza is probably the most loved item that is considered junk food, but the great thing about pizza is it can be as rich or healthy or spicy or as bland as you like. This time we focused on getting pizza that is fast and light on the pocket, just individual slices of awesomeness. It's basically the same one as part 1 with the focus changed. Chicken Pizza - Peppers, Majestic City Food Court
Price – Rs.160
Value for money – High
Variety – Chicken Hawaiian Pizza (Rs.160)
Taste - *****
Overall – Most argue that the pizza served by Peppers is too sweet owing to that spicy but sweet topping generously slathered on each slice, but we’ve grown to love this pizza with each visit to the MC food court. The chicken is minced and added to the pizza alongside (sometimes) hardened cheese coupled with chopped capsicums and onions. A single slice is pretty filling if you want to grab a quick bite. It’s got its own character, and it’s a true treat.
Hot and Spicy Chicken Pizza - Pizza Hut Express Outlet, Crescat Boulevard Food Court
Price – Rs.180
Value for money – average
Variety – Pizza Hut has other types of pizza with various toppings.
Taste - ***
Overall – This pizza was rather average and plain. Charging Rs.180 for a small slice with hardly any chicken on it turned out to be a disappointment, but it was served warm and fresh complete with gooey cheese – but really not worth the price paid.
Chicken Pizza - Bakery at Keells Super, Crescat Boulevard
Price – Rs.110
Value for money – average
Variety – None
Taste - ***
Overall – There’s no skimping on chicken on this pizza and for Rs.110, you get quite a large, thick slice. And it tastes decent but our only gripe was the slightly watery tomato sauce slathered on the slice.
Chicken Pizza – Tasty Caterers, Fife Road, Colombo 05
Price – Rs.70
Value for money – High
Variety – None
Taste - ****
Overall – We quite loved this pizza because it tastes just like one of those yummy mini pizzas you’d find at a child’s birthday party. It includes a generous filling of chicken strips and a thick and (slightly) spicy tomato sauce topping. A favourite from Tasty Caterers.
