Waters Edge presents traditional with a twist of “Avant – garde” cuisine


This September Waters Edge will be taking a bold initiative in presenting the first ever traditional dining experience with a twist of “Avant – garde” cuisine in Sri Lanka. “Avant - garde” cuisine is a blend of physics and chemistry which transforms tastes and textures of food that would result in a novel dining experience.



The feast to suite the palate of an epicurean consists of authentic favourites such as Sopa coada, Prawn Risotto to Sea bass al Cartoccio together with the twist of “Avant - garde” cuisine paired with sommelier recommended Bubbles, Reds and Whites for an unforgettable evening. 



This exciting five course meal filled with rich international flavours will be served and presented with a traditional dish.

The event will be held on 13 September 2014, 7.30pm onwards, tickets are priced at Rs. 7,500 net per person at the hotels premier venue “The View”.
 
Rohan Fernandopulle General Manager of Waters Edge, together with Executive Chef Buddhika Samarasekera and his kitchen brigade will welcome Leonardo Ricci: food and wine consultant of Pranzo: Italian restaurant of Waters Edge, along with Chef Simone Gobbo and Chef Eleonara Maria from Italy and the “Cuisina Moderna” or the “Avant – garde” cuisine expert for the event, Chef Guillermo Corral from Barcelona.  


 
Leonardo Ricci; president of the esteemed Altamarca Spit Academy, a valued board member of the “Prosecco Superiore Consortium” and consultant for national culinary teams in Italy, will spearhead this event with the traditional cuisine and authentic ingredients to induce the perfect flavours of Italian cuisine. 

Chef Guillermo Corral from Barcelona, previously employed at the Michelin stared Lasarte Restaurant in Barcelona and currently the technical advisor for Sosa ingredients, will create the culinary and gastronomic phenomena of “Avant - garde cuisine”
