A picturesque view of the bright blue Indian Ocean, sand seeping in between your toes, the soft sea breeze ruffling your hair, a drink by your side - seems terribly perfect, doesn’t it? This, is the experience The Shore By O! promises to all its customers.

Having been open just for four weeks, the pub cum restaurant has garnered a favourable response from regular customers, who seem to be braving rush hour traffic just to get to Mount Lavinia for an ideal wind down session after a busy working week.

The Shore By O! features a wide range of items on the menu in addition to their very own cocktail and mocktail creations. Choose from the Singapore Chillie Crab, Prawn Wadei, Nachos or even sandwiches, pasta and rice dishes.

The restaurant doesn’t specifically serve meals only at the usual 11.30AM-2.30PM time slot for lunch or even for dinner. Cocktails on the beverage menu include interestingly titles concoctions such as Beach Boy and the O! What A Feeling, which the Food Factor learns are two brand new additions.

“So far, we have had a truly positive response from customers, and we have a great clientele. We always find the same customers coming back every week, and it’s a great sign for us. They keep trying out new items off the menu and all in all, this place provides them with a wonderful, relaxing experience. We do feel that we can improve our service and other factors such as beverages and food, as we opened just a few weeks back, but over time, things will be fine,” explained Manager Deeptha.  

Currently, the management is planning to introduce shower areas and provide beach towels for customers who wish to have a dip in the sea before proceeding to drinks and a meal later. The entire place can accommodate a maximum of 250 people and it can be rented out for private events, with a week’s notice in advance.

Customers can choose from an extensive menu designed for parties and events. The two towers placed on either side of the Shore can be used for private, cosy dinners, and it is advisable to make a reservation first. There are 4 air-conditioned lounges situated upstairs.  

New Year’s Eve at The Shore By O promises to be a spectacular event, with a large buffet style dinner and table arrangements in addition to beverage deals for large groups. In terms of music, a band will be performing and there will be a DJ too. Tickets for the event are currently available so make sure you make your reservations early to avoid disappointment.
