New additions to Sunday Brunch at Waters Edge 

If you want to spend your Sunday with your family and would like to couple that with a wide array of delicious food, the best place to head to, would be, Waters Edge. They have added some new items into their starters and desserts thus making their large Sunday Brunch even larger, giving you and your family a culinary experience like no other, while also gaining access to the pool and garden.

Taste and value for money – 5 stars 

I confess I got lost in the starters section, as there was so much to choose from like the yummy Panko Crumbed Fried Tuna Tartare and one of my favourites, Bacon Wrapped with Chicken Liver and Date. Before moving on to the rest, you have some Peach Yoghurt which has a hint of pepper in it.

The array of fresh seafood at the buffet is also fabulous from fresh oysters to prawns and crab which can be topped with freshly squeezed lemon and various sauces. Just next to the seafood stand is the Sushi and Sashimi corner where I went crazy, as usual. Once you stuff yourself, just about right with all this, you can try out their delicious Indian, Italian and even Sri Lankan specialities like Hoppers and Pittu.

Pranzo at Waters Edge is known for their delicious Italian cuisine so you won’t be disappointed. If you love your roast meats, don’t fret as there is plenty to choose from be it chicken, pork or lamb and boy is it mouth watering and succulent.

The dessert corner is heavenly and includes cakes, mousses, macaroons, jellies and chocolate truffles just to name a few, but the star has to be their Ice Cream Kottu. You can choose the flavour of ice cream you desire and add nuts, marshmallows and fruit, it is then chopped up, ‘Kottu’ style afterwards, you can add toppings like chocolate or butterscotch and dive right in.

I recommend ending this fabulous experience with some ginger tea or yaara the which for me, was the icing on the cake.

Parking and Friendly staff – 5 stars 

Waters Edge has plenty of parking which makes it a breeze while the staff is pleasant and friendly.
