Sri Lanka Design Festival 2014 Interior Design Exhibition Wows Colombo!

Sri Lanka Design Festival - the country’s leading platform for design and related industries, took place recently premiering Colombo’s first-ever, dedicated interior design exhibition. SLDF hosted a world-class exhibition at SLECC, showcasing an impressive range of designer products and services by local interior and lifestyle brands. The exhibition attracted Sri Lanka’s high-end corporate tier in design, architecture, hospitality, tourism, apparel etc. as well as the public over the course of three days. SLDF interior design exhibition benchmarked international design events, and was a great success in showcasing a highly unique and contemporary interior exhibition set-up that has never been shown in Colombo before.

SLDF’s global production team consisting of international interior and set designers curated the products and innovations from these leading brands in local interior design. The event aimed to benchmark events like London Design Festival and Maison de Objet in Paris, and indeed completely transformedSLECC venue into a stunning exhibition that re-set the local industry standards. SLDF interior design exhibition thus became Colombo’s very first, international standard interior exhibition with a design focus and highlighted interior & product design, lighting technology, colour, special finishes, porcelain/bath-ware, home-ware, hotel-ware, furnishing & fabrics etc. through individually curated designer spaces and unique installations. The festival also had, an Interior Design trend area which provided an impressive visual guide to world’s foremost trends to freely educate the visitors.

SLDF 2015 has already confirmed the second edition of this remarkable interior design exhibition to be held next November, with a set-up that is bigger and better to wow Colombo and several delegations of international visitors.
