Having recently done up my back garden and while luxuriating in its heavenly foliage with a cup of tea I realized that, all that was missing was a soothing wind chime for my complete relaxation session. So armed with a house full of children who are always looking for the next craft project I delegated these harmonic works of art to pacify all my senses, taste, sight and sound. Here’s how you make a melodious wind chime.

Things you need

Shells- a quick trip down to Mt Lavinia beach will do the trick
Strips of wood six inches in length, can also use any twigs lying around
Tiny bells
Ball of white string

Method

Using some string tie two pieces of wood in the shape of a cross. Now using different lengths of string tie around the tiny shells and bells, hang along the pieces of wood, according to your preference in height.

As the wind blows through your chimes, your garden will become a symphonic orchestra of your own making…and it will also keep the kids quiet for awhile. Have Fun!
