Set in a private tea and rubber the plantation, the Estate House at the Rosyth Estate in Kegalle has opened as a luxury boutique hotel. Reached in just two & a half hours from Colombo, twenty five minutes from Pinawella and just an hour from Kandy this is the perfect easily accessible rural retreat.

The redevelopment of the 1926 planter’s bungalow combines the best of old and new. The seven bedrooms, five of which are within the original plantation house and two nestled in a new duplex building in the rear garden, combine with a stunning new dining pavilion, open Sala & classic sitting room and verandahs from the original house.

The development of the house has taken advantage of the terracing around the Estate House. The new dining pavilion built on pillars and constructed entirely out of wood, appears to float off the rear lawn & provides stunning views over the pool and to the rear of the property. The new Lime and Coconut rooms are perched on a rock, with both having direct ground floor access and incorporating an interconnecting staircase, perfect for families or friends travelling together. All the rooms make extensive use of wood, combined with polished cement floors, luxury bathrooms and classic furniture to create a magnificent experience.

The property, which has been family owned for the past 35 years, today offers a stunning Estate Experience.
