Recipe: Hello Dollies

It is the season to be jolly and the wonderful festivities of Christmas are upon us. With every kitchen in each household heaving with activities, here is another delectable addition to add to your Christmas goodies. Presented as a snack with cup of tea for any Christmas guest or even wrapped up with a big red bow as an edible Christmas gift, this is a delicious accompaniment. Crunchy, chocolate and texturally pleasing on the palette a “Hello Dolly” does not disappoint. Also they are relatively easy to make and thus your older children would definitely love giving these a try. Whip up a batch of hello dollies now, they will be much appreciated!

Ingredients

· 4 -6 tablespoons butter, melted
· 1 cup nice biscuit crumbs
· 1 cup chopped nuts, of choice
· 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
· 1 cup flaked coconut
· 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread melted butter in a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with chuncks of the nice cookie crumbs. Add the nuts, chips and coconut, sprinkling evenly over crumbs.Cover all with condensed milk. Bake for 25 minutes.Allow to cool and cut into squares.
