Paan Paan opens new outlet in Rajagiriya

Famed for their range of freshly baked breads and baked products, Paan Paan opened its fourth outlet in Rajagiriya recently, hoping to draw customers in the area. With a larger seating area than its Alfred House Road outlet, this newly opened outlet also serves sandwiches made fresh upon order, pastries, muffins and other baked goodies in addition to serving tea, coffee (served hot or chilled) and cappuccino.

Sandwiches, made fresh and delicious

Placing much focus on their comfortingly delicious sandwiches, Paan Paan has introduced a range of cheese melts to their already existing range of sandwiches. Priced at just Rs.250, we hear the cheese melt which is best made with the ciabatta bread is growing to be rather popular among regular customers, so be sure to ask for that when you place an order. The cheese melts along with the range of other sandwiches are ideal for a light lunch. If a cheese melt isn’t what you prefer, opt for other fillings such as the chicken salad, smoked chicken, spicy baked chicken, grilled vegetables, tuna, prawn salad, cheese and tomato, or the roast beef.

Customers have to pick a type of bread for the sandwich, and the range includes white baguette, brown multi-seed, regular white bread, ciabatta, focaccia or a croissant. Next, choose which other fillings you’d like in your sandwich such as lettuce, tomatoes, gherkins, onions or zucchini. Finally, you have to pick what sauce you prefer, and you can choose from the honey mayonnaise, rosemary mustard, chillie sauce or tomato ketchup.

Breads, savouries, sweet treats and more

This outlet sells everything from the bartusa bread to the country herb bread, in addition to the rye bread, multi-seed brown bread, kurakkan roast paan, garlic bread, French baguettes, bloomer bread and the ciabatta. Also available are the burger and hot dog buns, white and brown dinner rolls, large dinner rolls and breadsticks.

If you’d like to grab something quick, opt for the savouries which include chicken buns, mini seeni sambol buns, baked tuna patties, chicken rolls, potato patties, chicken puffs, maxy spicy buns or spicy tuna buns. Sweet items on the menu are the tea buns, custard buns, coffee buns, chocolate and peach Danishes, plain, almond and chocolate croissants and the éclairs.

Cookies and biscuits are available to go, and packed for convenience. Choose from the chocolate chip cookies, coconut rocks, ginger cookies and the oat and raisin cookies. Muffins at Paan Paan are a well loved treat, and you can never go wrong with a choice of the chocolate chip, blueberry or the orange and canola seed.

The fourth Paan Paan outlet is located at No.467, Sri Jayawardenapura Road, Rajagiriya. For regular updates, do check them out on Facebook.
