The Do's and Don'ts of planning an outdoor wedding!
Yolande tells us the must do’s and the must don’ts of planning an outdoor wedding.
Do’s
Have 2 venues ready - one for the ceremony and one for the reception ensuring that at least one of the venues is an indoor one. If there is bad weather you have an indoor venue prepared as a backup.
Get necessary permits for municipal areas / photography.
Make sure your guests are comfortable.
Have a backup generator.
Don’ts
Skimp on the photographer – Be sure to get a photographer who is comfortable with multiple lighting situations.
Don’t not think about the time of day – Consider the whereabouts of the sun so your guests won’t have difficulties watching you and your partner saying “I do”.
Don’t get stressed – Let the wedding planner handle every aspect of your big day.
Floral items – Don’t have your florist use any flowers that will fade for the sea-spray or the heat. Use flowers that are long lasting no matter what the weather is.
