Internationally famed for their scrumptious meals packed with flavour, Burger King –which opened its doors to customers in Sri Lanka last December- has introduced new items to their existing menu, which includes three exciting new dishes and several beverages.
Starting off, the King Rice is a perfect option for lunch if you don’t want a burger and fries. It’s a rice dish combined with a boneless crispy, delicious chicken fillet accompanied by a curry made with coconut milk and natural spices, and a crunchy onion salad. Priced at Rs.280, the King Rice promises an explosion of flavours and is tasty and filling. The Spicy Chicken Burger comprises of a boneless spicy chicken fillet tucked into a toasted sesame seed burger bun and combined with lettuce and mayonnaise. The Spicy Chicken Burger is available as a meal or just as a snack and is priced at Rs.390. Introducing seafood into their menu, Burger King’s third meal addition is a Fish and Chips which consists of two golden crispy fish fillets paired with a heap of delicious fries and a dollop of tartar sauce - perfect for dipping the fish fillets or fries in for a mouthwatering dining experience. The Fish and Chips is priced at Rs.400.
Identifying the need for coffee to be paired with meals, Burger King has also introduced the international premium coffee brand Lavazza to all three outlets and customers can now enjoy a range of coffees such as Americano, Café Latte and Cappuccino. If coffee isn’t your thing, opt for a velvety rich hot chocolate or milkshakes available in three variants - chocolate, vanilla and raspberry, by the Australian brand Frosty Boy. You can also choose an Iced Milo to accompany your meal, another new addition to the list of beverages.
Of course, no meal at Burger King is ever complete without tucking into a deliciously comforting Hershey’s Sundae Pie which comprises of cold cream cheese and chocolate with a soft chocolate cake base. Three varieties of ice cream sundaes are also available.
Burger King was launched last December under the Softlogic Restaurants portfolio and there are three branches located in Mount Lavinia, Colpetty and Rajagiriya.
