The Bayleaf, popular Italian restaurant, set in a grand colonial mansion, celebrates National Pasta Day on Friday, 17th October with a special menu that includes the homemade fresh pasta range.
There are over 600 known pasta shapes which includes Spaghetti, Linguini, Vermicelli, Rotini, Fettuccine, Ravioli, Fusilli, Cannelloni,Tortellini, Penne, Rigatoni and Lasagna which are the more popular pasta enjoyed by many. The Bay leaf offers a similar choice in the main menu mixed with a choice of authentic Italian sauces, meats and seafood.
The National Pasta Day menu offers Papardelle al cacao Ragu di Fungi penne - homemade fresh cacao pasta tossed with sautéed mixed mushroom, herbs, parmesan and cream, Fettuccine Rosse all Pugliese - homemade chili pasta with roasted capsicum, garlic, prawns, tomato and fresh spinach, Tagliatelle Verdi con Prosciutto - homemade spinach pasta tossed with honey glazed ham, mushroom, bacon and cream, Tagliatelle Nero do Olive con codine di aragosta - homemade Black olive pasta with garlic, chili, shoe lobster meat, tomato herbs and white wine to name a few on the menu.
