Get your three-pointed stars ready for the Mercedes-Benz Pageant 2015

Sri Lanka’s most exclusive family gathering – The Mercedes-Benz Pageant is yet again happening this year at the BMICH on 2nd May 2015. The Mercedes-Benz Pageant is an annual event organized by the Mercedes-Benz Club of Sri Lanka – a club consisting of die-hard likeminded automobile enthusiasts who have an extraordinary passion towards the three-pointed star. This year the Mercedes-Benz Pageant is celebrating a milestone – the 25th Anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz Club.

The Mercedes-Benz Pageant is an event for Mercedes-Benz cars, their owners and families. This is the only event in Sri Lanka, probably even in the world, where more than 500 Mercedes-Benz cars, their owners and their families get-together for fellowship at one location at the same time. No other automobile franchise in Sri Lanka can boast of an event such as this, and no other luxury car franchise can come even close to having this many Classic and Young-Classic cars being displayed in one venue.

The Mercedes-Benz Pageant is organised by the Mercedes-Benz Club of Sri Lanka and is sponsored by DIMO – the only Authorised Distributor for Mercedes-Benz in Sri Lanka. This year’s Mercedes-Benz Pageant will showcase more than 35 different models from the Pre-War era to the latest S-Class, E-Class and GLA-Class including the legendary AMG models. In addition, DIMO will be also displaying their Mercedes-Benz brand new range and their DIMO Premier (Pre-Owned) vehicles range at the event.

The only pre-requisite to take part at the Mercedes-Benz Pageant is that you drive in, in your Mercedes-Benz on 2nd May. As in previous years, there will be games and fun activities for the entire family, especially for the kids to make it a memorable day.

The Mercedes-Benz Club of Sri Lanka was initiated in May 1990. The first Committee was headed by Mr Ray de Costa, while the committee members were Mr H C Peiris, Mr Nigel Austin, Mr Charles Gunasekara, Mr Freddie Alles, Mr Milinda Hettiarachchi, Mr Ranjith Pandithage, Mr Darmin Perera, Mr G G Ponnambalam and Mr S R Vamathevan. The Mercedes-Benz Club annually organizes many other activities apart from the Pageant – these include annual Charity events, publication of the Mercedes Calendar and fun rallies / Mercedes Rallies (Star Drives).

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz Pageant will commence at 7am on 2nd May and will be open to public at 11am.
