So we've all watched Lassie (a dog lover wouldn't miss it for the world) and immediately wanted a dog just like her both brave and loyal! Inspired by the television star, this Lassie happens to be quite the actress and drama queen and loves to investigate the happenings of the previous night in the morning. (Sounds familiar?). She's also photogenic, and enjoys all the fuss made by her owner when taking pictures.

What's the significance of the name you've given her?
I remember having watched a TV show called “Lassie” during my childhood, so when I got her, I named her “Lassie”. Now I think I have made the right decision because she is just like that drama queen on TV.
What is a typical day like for Lassie?
Lassie girl wakes up early in the morning. Then she walks around the garden and checks what had happened the previous night.
What are mealtimes and bathtimes like?
Lassie is fond of eating chicken with rice very much. Her favourite desserts are ice cream and sweets. When we bring a tub of ice cream, she immediately knows that there is ice cream in the house. So, every time we open the fridge she comes and asks for a scoop. When we give her the ice cream, she sits and holds the cup and eats. This is a very funny activity to watch. Lassie hates getting a bath and quickly disappears when she knows she is going to get one.
Does she do anything out of the ordinary that fascinates you?
When the stray dogs in the neighbourhood howl, Lassie girl likes to howl with them. What is quite fascinating is that Lassie sleeps with her belly up. Also, she likes to pose for photographs as well. In fact I have quite a collection of Lassie’s photos.
What annoys her the most?
She doesn’t like visits to the vet and medicines. Also there are a few cats belonging to one of our neighbours and when these cats walk on the adjoining parapet wall, Lassie barks furiously and tries to catch them.
What is her most favourite fun time activity?
She loves it when I pet her and hug her head. She becomes very calm and quietly enjoys it. She loves going on walks as well. She is little bit old now and she often expects extra love and kindness. She hears a little less than before, but she is trying to do her best every time. She seems to understand our conversations as well. Nowadays most of her time is spent resting but she also likes to enjoy the sun. Another interesting thing is when Lassie’s fur comes out, there is a little bird that waits anxiously to collect this fur to make her nest and when she does it, she expresses her happiness by humming a tune!
What is the naughtiest thing she has done?
Whenever we go out of the house, Lassie shows her anger by tearing up all the newspapers and magazines lying around, and scratching the walls. She is also a good hunter chasing after birds, rats and cats. Sometimes, she ends up killing a chicken or two.
How did you find her?
I got her from my Aunt. She was born on an Easter Sunday. I picked her for her beautiful white fur coat and the pink nose.
What is she most afraid of?
She is dead scared of fireworks, thunder and lightning and becomes restless and looks for a place to hide. During rainy days, I can’t sleep because I have to sit and pamper her.
How does she react when you return home after a long day?
She warmly welcomes me by running all over the house wagging her tail continuously and then jumping on me.
What was the most unforgettable moment you have shared with her?
Four years ago she got seriously ill. The vet told me that she had a serious problem with her womb and therefore, it needed to be removed. During the surgery, I stayed with her to assist the vet. It was a very saddening situation and when she regained consciousness after the surgery, she cried terribly. I can never forget that day ever.
What makes her the best?
She is a very innocent and adorable girl. She shows us her unconditional love every time. Lassie has a separate room to sleep and rest. When she wants to relax she goes to her room. I know I would never be able to find myself another Lassie, as she's irreplaceable and a part of my family. A life without you is impossible Lassie girl!
