Why do you love travel?
Who can resist seeing new places, new faces, new experiences and of course sampling new cuisine? That’s the reason why I look forward to travelling!
Your favourite travel destination and why?
Hong Kong, because that city never ceases to amaze me. It never goes to sleep and it's full of life! Its fully lit skyscrapers at night are quite simply breathtaking!
What do you need for a perfect holiday?
A perfect travel companion who likes to experiment new cuisine and of course shopping simply because I am a foodie and a window shopaholic!
In which country have you felt most at home?
Quite happy to say I have been at home wherever I have travelled.
Most unusual souvenir you have brought home?
Tiny wooden dolls from Germany depicting fairy tale characters.
Favourite holiday discovery?
It has to be the cuisine of whatever country I am travelling to.
Worst holiday or travel experience?
On arrival in Germany for our winter sales conference the airline had misplaced our luggage. We were only given 30 Euros to manage. We were in the same clothes for almost two days. However our very understanding boss took us shopping and we were able to manage for the next few days.
Best piece of travel advice?
Travel light and handcarry immediate essentials you need for the following day - so that if you lose your luggage you could still manage until you get a chance to shop!
Your top five travel destinations?
Can anything beat our beautiful Sri Lanka? Outside of Sri Lanka:
1) Hong Kong
2) London
3) Saalfelden, Austria
4)Beijing, China
5) Singapore
What has travel taught you?
Appreciate diverse cultures and its people.
Which country did you taste the best ever cuisine?
Hong Kong has a multitude of cuisines and offers new experience every time we visit!
Next travel destination?
Hong Kong.
