The North American Women's Association’s annual Mardi Gras Charity Ball is set to take place on 19 May at the Cinnamon Grand Ballroom. The North American Women's Association was established in 1952, to provide assistance to expatriate women that had relocated to Sri Lanka.

Through their common bonds and compassion for others, the women of NAWA made up of US and Canadian citizens, soon recognized the impact they could have on the less fortunate Sri Lankan women and children.

With this in mind, the Mardi Gras Ball came into being as the major fund raiser for the association. This year marks the 10th year of the Mardi Gras Ball which is held annually. All monies raised from this event goes to support various charities in Sri Lanka. 

Tickets for the ball are priced at Rs. 7500 and include food and beverage.
