There are many buildings and homes which do not comply with the tenets of Vaastu and Feng Shui, yet the occupants seem to be doing well living in such buildings. Does this mean that the science of Vaastu and Fengshui has an impact selectively on the occupants?
Each of us are individuals born at different time, different places and have our own specific DNA and genetic engineering hence the ill effects of a space will not have the same impact on each individual due to this. Moreover in Fengshui we classify the luck of a person as Heaven, Earth and man which in other words means that certain aspects of the life are pre ordained and cannot be tampered, however the overall prosperity and luck can be transformed and ill effects mitigated by adapting the art and science of Vaastu Vidya and Feng Shui.
A piece of land without any structure on it allows unhindered energy to flow through and over the plot. When a structure is put up on a plot we first dig the earth, put up walls and fix doors, windows etc. This in simple terms would amount to creating an imbalance in the equilibrium for energy movement in that piece of plot. Vaastu or Feng Shui is a tool to restore this imbalance in the equilibrium through proper orientation of structure, design, and layout, placement of doors and windows, interiors, décor, furnishing and garden and levels of the plot.
Feng Shui and Vaastu also deals with the effect of the nature created elements such as fire, water, earth, wood, metal. Take the case of a home and recall the 5 elements in Feng Shui, we have fire in the kitchen and also in the electric supply (when the energy carrying wires phase and neutral come in contact it generates sparks), water in the taps and faucets, wood in the form of doors and frames, metal in the forms of RCC and window grills, earth as flooring, plastering, brick walls etc. We are using the materials created out of nature, confining it to a small area called “home or office” and then we sit in the middle of such energies and try to carry on our work.
The study of aligning your space to ensure that the occupants are not affected by an imbalance caused by these elements and placing cures or countering them with proper planning of room deigns, positions, placement of doors and windows through the adaptation of Vaastu or Feng Shui is the key to a good home or office.
The process of modernization and the advent of the industrial era, brought in equipments and technologies generating EMF fields in the form of TV and mobile phones, electricity was discovered, RCC came in to vogue and our living place became smaller and smaller. With this we started violating some of the basic norms of Vaastu and Feng Shui in our day to day life and over a period of time it was forgotten and all designs were supposedly made” practical”.
Adapting Vaastu or Feng Shui ensures a space comfortable, supportive, unhindered flow of energy creating a perfectly balanced environment which ensures enhanced wealth, health and prosperity.
