However this time Kishani performed to raise funds for her alma mater Visakha Vidyalya for a project to uplift the facilities at the school.
When commenting on the performance one can expect nothing but the best from Kishani who delivered a mesmerizing and power packed performance. Unfortunately the organizers in order to save up on the cost had chosen to have the concert at the Visakha Hall which was quite warm and due to the nature of the performance he fans were turned on for a few minutes when the evening’s compeer Arun Dias had his share of the spotlight.
It was very pleasing to see an audience that comprised of a few that had not been exposed to classical music learn to appreciate it.
Some of those present commented on the show:
It was a really nice show, I have never been to a classical concert before and I’m glad I made it to Kishani’s concert. I was moved by the performance. – Prabash
Just one word to sum it all up: fabulous. – Meneka
It was nice to see Kishani perform at school since she has been one of our most Illustrious pupils. – Naduni
An absolutely wonderful performance. – Dr. Preethi
Wonderful performance and I am really proud of Kishani – Dr. Iyanthi

May 14, 2014 at 12:00 amKishani herself had requested to come back to school and the stage she grew up on to sing for Visakha. It says a lot for her personality

May 14, 2014 at 12:00 amThank you for your wonderful review Reihan and sharing the beautiful pictures. Just to clarify the organisers had in fact booked a theatre for the Event. However Kishani herself wanted to have the concert in the school hall in order to "bring it all back home." I hope you agree theat despite the heat it was a very special night.
