Hot Cocoa Brownies

Brownies are a man’s best friend. They is no disputing that statement for the variety that is out there, the brownie critic is sure to find one that will satisfy their taste buds and make them an ardent brownie lover in a matter of a few bites. In our house of course brownies are eaten by the truckload when the opportunity presents itself. Therefore each new brownie discovery is treated with joy and the “Hot Cocoa” brownies, as quirky as they sound, offered us a taste sensation. With the chewy sweet marshmallow on top, each brownie has a depth of textures and flavours that envelope you in a single bite. Make these hot cocoa brownies a part of your festive table this season.

Ingredients

· 1 cup butter, softened
· 1¾ cups sugar
· 4 eggs
· 2 teaspoons vanilla
· ½ teaspoon salt
· ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa
· ½ cup hot cocoa mix
· 1⅔ cup flour
· 1 10 oz. bag large marshmallows

Instructions

1. Cream butter and sugar together.

2. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.

3. Add salt, cocoa, hot cocoa mix and flour and mix until well incorporated. Do not over mix.

4. Pour into greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 22-25 minutes.

5. While baking, cut large marshmallows in half.

6. Once brownies have cooked, place halved marshmallows uncut side up, over tops of brownies. Place under broiler for 1-2 minutes until marshmallows are golden and nicely toasted. Watch carefully so as not to burn them.
