The halls of the Wendt were filled with horror, blood and mysterious sounds as Count Dracula was about to go on his preying rounds. Inspired by the works of John L. Balderstone and Hamilton Deane, the Ananda Drama Circle brought ‘Dracula’ back to life with an amazing cast of five characters.
The young and energetic souls were able to keep the house entertained with their numerous transitions and brilliant acting. The cast included Nandun Dissanayake as Count Dracula, Dinoo Wickramage as Mina, Charith Dissanayake as Dr. John Seward and Vishan Gunawardena as Professor Van Helsing.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror Life, a few ‘Dracula’ lovers didn’t forget to share their experience with us.

It was quite interesting. All this time we thought Dracula was only about horror but it looks quite funny too.

It was fun to watch them act. The directors have done a wonderful job.
Khyle
The five characters had different roles and that was the best part.
Lucky
Nandun did a fantastic job as Dracula and it would have been a bit more outstanding if the girls’ voices too were projected out better.
Sureshi
I watched a good play after a long time. Hats off to all of them.
