Celebrate the season at the CLIQUE ‘Boardroom’

By definition, ‘CLIQUE’ refers to a small group of people with shared influences, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them. Drawing from the positive connotation of this definition, the management at CLIQUE created a unique definition of this word to apply to all attributes of CLIQUE, from its highly selective and exclusive clientele, to its interior decor elements, style, quality of food and music. CLIQUE aims to provide connoisseurs with a unique and memorable experience through a combination of gastronomic and sensorial delights. Located at the Colombo Pharmacy Building in Union Place, Clique is spread over two floors. The space is demarcated into a main restaurant area featuring a private walk-in elevator, club lounge bar, and the Boardroom (a private dining area) located on the lower floor. Designed in the style of a glamorous living room with its own private bar, the Clique Boardroom is the perfect spot to host your intimate gatherings and celebrations. Whether you are entertaining clients or hosting a special occasion for friends and family, the Clique Boardroom can cater to any occasion or clientele. The Clique Boardroom also boasts of a breath taking view of Town Hall, adding a touch of soul, tradition, modernism and glamour to your parties.

The Boardroom is a 1,200 Square foot private space designed in the style of a glamorous living room featuring a dining area and a lounge. The room carries on the design theme of the main space and features custom-made wallpaper and a continuation of our design philosophy for the space: techy Baroque. The boardroom can be hired out with a minimum spend of Rs. 25,000. The room layout specifications can be customized as per individual preferences. The Clique Boardroom can be hired for private dinners for up to 24 guests, Cocktail and Canapé Parties (up to 40 guests), special occasions like Birthdays, Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties, Anniversaries or  Corporate functions, press conferences, business meetings followed by Dinner/Cocktail/Canapés, Annual General Meetings or Club Meetings.

The Menu

Clique offers canapés, tapas or a set dinner menu at the Clique Boardroom and all beer and wine will be provided by Clique, while spirits can be purchased at a discounted rate. Clique will also introduce a Christmas Dinner menu as well as a festive canapés menu in the month of December. The general menu will continue the Clique style of Eurasian modernist cuisine, featuring many signature dishes from their introductory menu, including sous-vide steaks, Japanese favourites & Clique Rice, as well as new dishes to ignite your senses such as mouth-watering 3-tiered seafood platters and BBQ Beef Spare Ribs.

Entertainment

With entertainment to enliven any occasion, the Clique Boardroom also offers a 60” SAMSUNG SMART TV and a state of the ART Karaoke System. The system features well over 1,000 Music tracks for guests to browse through and play back on a state of the art Yamaha sound system. With an expansive range of different genres of Music, guests can look forward to a good time enjoying good food and great music.

The Chefs

The Director’s at Clique take inspiration from Modernist Cuisine and closely guided the Chef team that is led by Executive Chef Kumar and Japanese Chef Chamila. Under Chef Kumar and Chamila’s direction, they have taken "fusion" cuisine to a new level being the first restaurant in the city, in introducing Steak’n’Sushi as the perfect choice for our patrons. Chef Kumar’s Fusion menu is supported by a touch of new-age Japanese, which has been compiled by Chef Chamila, who has worked at Nobu, Dubai in the past ten years. Chef Chamila's creativity and skill for sourcing the best ingredients and fresh seafood has brought Clique praise with its many favourite dishes ranging from Dragon Rolls, Karage to Teriyaki Duck.
