Complicated desserts with lashings of cream, warm layers of chocolate or sugary concoctions of delectability are always thoroughly enjoyed. Sometimes though you prefer life to be a little less complicated, you crave simplicity and in terms of culinary satisfaction that can only be presented in the everyday homemade cookie. Our family favourite is of course with filled with chocolate, textural dotted with chunks of chocolaty goodness, and this cookie is never turned down. The wonderful thing about a homemade cookie is that batches of it can be made and enjoyed at the individual’s desire. A quick teatime snack with a hot refreshing cup of tea or a couple enjoyed with a tall glass of milk, the cookie pleases at every instance. Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup white baking chips, chopped
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, chopped
1 cup chopped kalo cookies (about 10 cookies)
2 rave candy bar chopped

Method

- Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients.

- Drop by two tablespoonfuls in apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 6-8 minutes or until set. Cool on pans 1 minute. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
