Bikeathon for CCCline133 Day 1 - Colombo to Chilaw

The bikers were ready at the crack of dawn, eager to start their journey: a crusade to provide meaning to the lives of those who have lost hope and to spread awareness of the CCC Line 1333, that provides phone counselling to Sri Lankans who need it. The mission is clear. They are riding because they believe that everyone has a right to be heard. That everyone has the right to see things in a different way when all looks dark. CCC Line provides phone counselling for anyone who calls 1333 between 9 am -9pm everyday.

The team consisting of 30 riders commenced the first leg, from the Independence Square and completed it in Chilaw as planned. The street drama troupe’s performance attracted, the interest of many in the middle of the town, and raised awareness to day to day issues that bother many. The team through their creative act established clearly that all is not lost when trouble seem to burden people. CCCLine is on standby to support any one who is going through difficulty. We need them to start sharing their problems - come out of the shadows.
