Hilton Colombo’s Sri Lankan restaurant is renowned for its authenticity and specializes in both seafood and native cuisine. Open nightly from 7.00pm to midnight, this garden restaurant opened its doors 25 years ago and if one looks back, you can see that the restaurant has gone through many changes to serve diners better. The air- conditioned area can accommodate up to 50 guests and is ideal to host private dinners as well whilst the rest of the restaurant overlooks the beautifully landscaped garden.

Apart from the fresh seafood buffet which includes fresh blue water prawns, crabs, various kinds of fish, guests can experience the other options as well. The hopper maker prepares a la minute, crispy egg hoppers and plain hoppers whilst the roti maker prepares savoury rotis and the infamous Sri Lankan kottu roti; a choice of prawn, beef, chicken or vegetarian is made available. The yam hut with a variety of yams and the buffet comprising other traditional dishes like  pittu, string hoppers and kiri hodi, savoury rice, delicious meat and fish curries and exotic vegetables, fresh salads and soup provides the diner with a vast array to choose from. To complete the ambiance and the cuisine is the amme making hot oil cakes (kavum). Enjoying these delicious warm kavums with a hot ginger tea served in a glass, is strongly recommended!  All in all, the discerning diner will experience great food as good as Amme’s cooking!
