Behind every one of those puppy eyes and wagging tails is a story. These are stories of abuse, neglect or simply unfortunate circumstances. Some of them show that even in this sad and cruel world there is still space for inspiration and hope, even when nothing goes according to plan and all else fails.

It has been a wonderful and memorable year for the proud team at Adopt A Dog In Sri Lanka. Since its inception in May 13, 2011, the Facebook page ‘Adopt A Dog In Sri Lanka’ has sailed through swift waters and harsh winds to get to where it is today and it looks as though they have absolutely no reason to back down now with a whopping 340 incredible adoptions (and counting !), over 350 sterilizations, over 450 vaccinations, over 50 rescues and feeding programs that run every other day, they vouch to sail full speed ahead!

Founded by Oshadie Korale, along with Andrew Jebaraj and Megali Nanayakkara who were bought together with their mutual love towards man’s best friend, initiated the page with the hope that the announcements of the rescues, would in turn help in getting the dogs and into warm loving homes . What started as a simple idea then flourished into an island wide rescue and adoption process with +7600 well-wishers and animal lovers who contribute to the cause  and support the team to change the lives of the street doggies in Sri Lanka.

The Team extends their appreciations to the following individuals who have helped them in numerous ways.
