The Wedding Checklist: Immediately after the Engagement 

Just engaged and panicking about everything that you have to figure out? Here’s a list of things you MUST do before anything else!

Start a wedding binder - now you might think a wedding binder is a little over the top, but come a month before the wedding, this will be your life. Simply because everything you need is in one single folder. Once you purchase your binder, have categories; budget, venue, flowers, dress, guest list.

Work out your budget - figure out how much you want to spend. Budget for your venue, your dress, your honeymoon. Be realistic when your are setting it, always assume you would spend slightly more than you originally would so you could budget for hidden costs as well.

Start the guest list - thinking you have time later to figure out whose invited and whose not is a mistake. Your guest list is a focal point to a lot of other decisions you would have to make, like the size of the venue or the number of invitations.

Hire a planner - if you don’t have the time to be finding the venues, the vendors, the decors, hire yourself a wedding planner who could do all that for you!

Reserve your venue - explore the places you want your wedding to be at, find the place you love and book it immediately.

Research - research your possible photographer, band, florist, salon. Have some options so you can start contacting them and reserving them for your day!
