Apples are my least favourite fruit. No offense to any of you apple lovers, but there is something so mundane tasting about it. Therefore when you have bag full of them, whatever can you do expect cultivate it to your own taste?
Found on allrecipes.com, this delicious recipe is a perfect topping on a plain cake or even on some hot toast. If twisted right it provides for the ideal chutney on your homemade burger or a salsa for your chips. The options are endless!
In addition, this is such an effortless make you wouldn’t even need instructions the next time you make it.
Ingredients
1 apple
1 tbs of brown sugar
¼ cup of water
¼ tsp of cinnamon powder
Directions
Wash, peel and cut the apple in to small pieces.
Add the cut apple in to a saucepan.
Include the sugar, cinnamon powder and water in to the saucepan.
Place the saucepan on a low flame.
Boil until the apple becomes soft and mushy.
Then take it off the heat and let it cool off in a separate bowl.
Once the apple has cooled off, mash it up using a fork.
Disasters, Warnings and Tips
Serve this apple sauce on top of some vanilla ice cream. Yum!
I found the book of Me Before You by Jojo Moyes (which the movie is based on) – yay!
You can include this when you’re making a coffee cake.
These measurements suit a tiny apple, it will increase if you use a larger one.
First it’s the burning heat NOW torrential rains. Gah!
