We were served the Summerlicious cocktail (Rs. 700) which was a blend of gin and Sprite. The fruit in the cocktail made it absolutely delicious regardless of being unable to taste the gin or Sprite. It certainly did have a summer flare to it!
This was followed by their starter which was Insalata Con Fusilli (Rs. 875). The pasta served with squid and vegetables was delicious, light and a good start to the meal.
We then tried two of their mains. Filetto Di Maiale (Rs. 1750) was my favourite dish of the day. The grilled pork wrapped with bacon and served with tomato and mozzarella was absolutely delicious! The pork was nice and juicy and the veggies and mashed potatoes on the side really elevated the dish.
The second main we tried was their Fettuccine Pollo Con Lemone (Rs. 1100), a homemade pasta which was quite thick. This dish was accompanied by lemon chicken and sundried tomatoes.
For dessert we were able to order anything out of their Italian dessert spread. So we tried their Tiramisu (Rs. 675) which was a chocolate and espresso sponge trifle. I am not a big fan of Tiramisu, but this one was quite tasty.
We also tried their Brownie with Ice Cream and Caramelised Nuts (Rs. 400). The brownie itself was very sweet but with the ice cream and nuts it tasted really good.
We then visited the Harpo’s Pizza and Pasta outlet in Nugegoda. The interior of the outlet is quite cozy and staff is very friendly and helpful. They focus mainly on deliveries, so their Summerlicious spread consists only of 3 pizza options.
We first tried their Chicken Pesto and Avocado Pizza (Rs. 1150), and was quite tasty.
But it was the Fruits of the Ocean Pizza (Rs. 1100) that really stood apart from the rest. It was absolutely delicious with lots of prawns, fish and cuttlefish along with bell peppers and cheese.
The third option on their Summerlicious menu was a Three Cheese and Spinach Pizza (Rs. 1050) It was the only vegetarian pizza and served warm it was quite delicious as well. The prices mentioned are for their 9 inch pizzas.
Both venues are open from 11AM to 11PM and serves the Summerlicious menu throughout the day.
